Charity BBQ and Beach Party on Sat, 24th Sep 2011
for children from Nakhon Si Thammarat orphanage

On Saturday, 24th September 2011, 80 children aged between 7-17 from an orphanage in Nakhon Si Thammarat were invited to CC Beach Bar & Restaurant for a BBQ and Beach party.
To all who contributed to the success of that day with their time, with material support or with various donations, lots of thanks!

Day-long intense showers and storm damage 30-03-2011

Outside the Monsoon season, which in Khanom usually happens between late September and early December, day-long intense showers are an uncommon and very unexpected weather pattern for this part of South Thailand. In late March 2011 which is usually hot and sunny, over a period of several days uninterrrupted rain gradually increased in frequency to uninterrupted showers. This was the pretext for the flood disaster in South Thailand in late March 2011 and early April 2011.

Storm damage 29-03-2011

Several days of continous rain and frequent intense showers in late March 2011 together with stormy waves created severe damage to CC Beach Bar: large amounts of flotsam and jetsam spilled over the premises while the restaurant ground got washed out and their suddenly was a new canal separating the bar from the restaurant.
